Weave Description A few things to note about this weave. You should use relatively small rings with thick wire. There are at least six variations of this weave if you exclude the fact that the single rings can be doubled. The 'knots' can be made two different ways and you can alternate them. You could also use a single separator ring between the knots instead of two of them but this makes the weave want to spiral. Rings used in the sample are 16 SWG galvanized steel, 3/16" mandrel diameter, and have an approximate AR of 3.2. This weave was first produced back in The Chainmaille Board days, but I can't remember by whom.
