Nisei- drawing its name from the American-born individuals of Japanese descent who were confined in internment camps in the US during the Second World War is a variant form derivative from Japanese 4 in 1. This particular piece is composed of 13 rings of 14 gauge 1/4" stainless, 1 of the same size blackened stainless (which isn't visible in this picture- it's behind the centremost ring), 4 16 gauge 7/16" stainless rings, and 5 14 gauge 7/16" blackened stainless rings- which are held captive by the silvery stainless steel.
