Japanese 12 in 2
AKA: Japanese 6 in 1, Doubled Weave Description Take the Japanese 6 in 1 weave, and double it. This is what you get. The main advantage of this weave, if you use the correct ring sizes, is a major increase in stability of the weave. The rings do not slip over one another or flop over, therefore the pattern always shows to its best. 22g sterling, 0.140" ID, 0.070" ID. [Edit: Japanese 12 in 2 made in larger AR pairings (example: ARs 5.8,4.3) can be successfully stabilized through the use of captive rings.] Weave Tags (Click to Search Weaves)Japanese, Sheet, Kinged, ModificationRelated ArticlesOther Related Articles Basic European 6 in 1 / Japanese 12 in 2 Chainmail Basket Pattern [Patterns,Accessories] Japanese Weaves: Minimum AR Considerations [Japanese,Mail Math,Weave Theory] Houses of the Holey: Frame Construction [Sculpture,Japanese,Mail Math] Advanced Maille Basketry [Sculpture] Basic Maille Basketry [Sculpture] Japanese Weaves: Maintaining AR Density With Wire Diameter Adjustments [Japanese,Mail Math,Weave Theory] Random Gallery Items Tagged as using this Weave [Show All] |
