AKA: Japanese 4 in 1 Cube Squared Weave Description Japanese 8 in 2 Cube is Japanese 4 in 1 Cube doubled, and like its parent weave, it expands in all three dimensions. The sample displayed uses bronze rings made from .062" (1.6mm / 16 SWG) wire wrapped on 1/4" (6.35mm) mandrel. With a measured ID of .272" (6.91mm) these rings bear an AR of 4.4. This AR is a little bit loose, and ARs approaching the minimum of 3.9 for this weave are usually more desired.
