Two and a Half Persian
Two and a Half Persian (2.5P) is a chain weave of Full Persian 6 in 1 descent. Based on the design of One and a Half Persian, which is FP6-1 cells divided by reduced cells of only 2 rings (one in each grain) thus having a 4-2-4-2 pattern, 2.5P progresses this to 6-4-6-4. A pair of rings are added to the middle of every FP6-1 cell, similar to those found in Shuttle, which shares the same 6-4-6-4 cell configuration. 2.5P differs from Shuttle by its rings in the 4-ring cells being layered between the three rings in the following 6-ring cell, instead of resting against the outermost. This comes at the cost of a higher required AR.
There is a way to shift from 6-4-6-4 to an even 5-5-5-5 by adjusting one of the rings in each 6-ring cell. The result is Three Hours Less Sleep. This pattern shift is a progression of that which changes 4-2-4-2 One and a Half Persian into 3-3-3-3 Soyuz. Incidentally, pattern shifted 6-4-6-4 Shuttle becomes 5-5-5-5 as Overfull Persian.
