Inverse Magus Chain
Weave Description When trying to weave Magus Chain with a single AR, I accidentally 'stumbled upon' another variant. While the ring number pattern is identical to Magus Chain 2-4-2, the ring arrangement of the '4-cell' is not like an 'X' seen alongside the chain's weaving direction, but as shown in the center of sketch at bottom of the submission image. The image shows the weave straight on top, and forced to be twisted at center - when hanging loose, it shows no twist at all, and 'likes' to lie straight. Unlike other weaves of the Magus family, the ring choice here is a single AR; used rings are 1.2mm (18swg) BA, coiled on 3/16" mandrel, with a final AR of 4.2. When using a much larger AR (above 4.4), the arranged rings lose their positive lock, while at below AR 4.0 the weave gets too tight to be weavable.
