Apollo Sheet
Weave Description This sheet weave was created by application of the Hoodoo or Dense Byzantine Sheet technique for 'sideways' expansion of One and a Half Persian, also called 'Apollo' by me. The sample is made from BA 1.6mm coiled on 8.5mm mandrel rings with a final AR of 5.7; at this AR it is near to stiff, and exemplifies the low AR limit; for jewellery purpose an AR of 6.0 or above should be chosen. Note that this weave is a 'locked' pendant to Pacman Sheet, and the 'wing' ring locking technique employed here can be used there as well, to get e.g. a smooth border seam without protruding floppy rings.
