DescriptionHoneycomb is a hexagonally expanding Japanese sheet weave with 6 orbital connections around each horizontal ring (or set of rings). Each of the 6 vertical orbital rings leans against the next and creates a swirl, similar to those found in Three Quarters Persian Base 6 Flowers Sheet, Celtic Rosette 6, and Not Tao 6 units. This sample has the horizontal rings singled. Because the sheet was assembled in a single ring size, the horizontal rings clash slightly and have to decide how to layer themselves. .048" (1.2mm) stainless steel 27/64" (10.7mm) mandrel .472" ID AR of 9.8 At this generous AR, the sheet can be flexed slightly into a dome. Flexibility is always limited when orbital rings are involved.
