DescriptionAlligator River is a composition of Half Persian 3 in 1 chains, divided by European 4 in 1 strips. The 2 outside rows of the 3-row E4-1 comprise half of the HP3-1 chains, with the other halves each being the first row of the following E4-1 separation. In order for this arrangement to have continuity, the HP3-1 chains alternate between left, and right handed versions. Also, the subsequent E4-1 strips alternate lean direction. This structure lends well to tubing, however, an even number of iterations are required for the final Half Persian chains to line up for a proper European connection to be made. .035" (0.89mm) wire diameter. stainless steel HP3-1 chains: 9/64" (3.57mm) mandrel .160" ID AR of 4.6 bronze E4-1 middle rows: 1/8" (3.175mm) mandrel .145" ID AR of 4.1 This is a much more compact version than what the weave entry picture shows, but still has a full range of flexibility. 1-5/8" (41mm) in both length and width.
