DescriptionJapanese 12 in 3 Cube is Japanese 4 in 1 Cube with every ring tripled. After achieving extreme rigidity using only an AR of 5.3 in a previous example, I decided to increase the ID of the outside rings in each set. Bringing their AR up by about 0.375 (rounded numbers show a difference of 0.3), already a degree of flexibility is introduced. Using rings of all 5.6 AR would provide even more flexiblity, possibly making the cube too loose!.048" (1.2mm) brass, stainless steel 29/128" (5.75mm), 31/128" (6.15mm) mandrels .253", .271" ID AR of 5.3, AR of 5.6 Weave(s) Used (Click to View Weave)Japanese 12 in 3 CubeImages Tags (Click to Search Gallery)Tag(s): Brass, Example, Stainless SteelWeave(s): Japanese 12 in 3 Cube |
