DescriptionWeaving Celtic Rose Sheet (Pentagonal Tesselation) forms this 242 ring dodecaedron of Celtic Visions (CV) units. The ring count goes up by 12 if the small rings that connect 10 of the same size are doubled.I was unable to make one of these spheres in ring sizes similar to those listed in the weave entry text. After about 90% completion it was simply too tight to continue. It becomes evident quickly that the layered (.062" (1.6mm)) rings in each "Vision" of CV should differ in size with the inside one smaller. This, my second attempt switched AR of 4.4 with:
The inner rings still shift around and try to layer above/below others, so further refinement is recommended. Also, the (.048" (1.2mm)) rings that come off the side of each CV unit were increased from AR of 4.4 to:
Five ring types were used in its construction in two wire diameters.
