DescriptionOrbital Hex Cage, AR-reduced with three ring sizes.
Compared to Captive Orbital Hex Cage (COHC) the sets of rings that make up the triangles (bronze) are less held in place and shift around somewhat. .048" (1.22mm) stainless, bronze, stainless 25/128" (4.96mm), 11/64" (4.37mm), 15/64" (5.95mm) mandrel .219" (5.56mm), .191" (4.85mm), .261" (6.63mm) ID AR of 4.6, AR of 4.0, AR of 5.4 At this ring size combination, there is still a little bit of room for reduction with the smaller two rings, at least. Even a minimally AR-lowered COHC allowed itself to be weaved with the small ring outer diameter below the orbital rings' inner diameter. Its minimum AR for the orbital ring is 1.0 above the one used in this sample, which makes sense because of the wire diameter of the captive ring involved.
