DescriptionSakura is a radial unit that begins with Box Chain or half Byzantine segments attached to an inner ring and adds enough outer rings to stabilize the weave. The example is made of C&T stainless steel 18SWG 1/4" with an AR of 5.43 and 20SWG 1/8” with an AR of 4.06. It is just over 1" in diameter. The weave is fairly tight, but the unit has some flex to it. This weave is slightly sensitive to the tolerances of the rings, which varies by manufacturer and materials. Experimentation is recommended to attain the desired results. The piece was made through three hours of trial and error. I have since discovered that it has similar interior structure to December.
