Description

After seeing the Hobbit movies, I just couldn't resist the urge to make myself a decently large hauberk. This one is around 50 pounds of 14ga galvanized steel, 5/16" ID rings with bronze accents of the same dimensions. My best estimates have it somewhere around 23,000 rings. Not quite the most rings I've ever put into a project, but definitely the largest and heaviest thing I've made. With a belt about the waist, it's quite comfortable. It extends just past the knee, and about halfway down my forearms.
