DescriptionThis is in essence a single stacked row of Dragonscale (if such could exist), but here it is held together by Berusing them, with rings woven down each side as stabilizers. Another way to look at it is as a strip of European 4 in 1 with an orbital sandwiched between each row, also with a 2 in 1 Chain woven down the middle. I'm certain there are other ways of looking at it as well.It is slightly different from the top side to the bottom side. On top, each ring of the Berused chain crosses over one row of Dragonscale. On the bottom, each ring crosses over two rows. Nice flexibility in one direction only. The weave should work with most any sizes that will work for Dragonscale, especially those that make a looser sheet of it. The rings for the 2 in 1 Chain need be the same ID as the larger Dragonscale ring, but probably a gauge smaller in most cases. This sample was made from 16swg 3/8" BA, AR of 6.3, and 16swg 1/4" black AA, AR of 4.1, the stabilizing rings are also 16swg 1/4" BA, AR of 4.1, and the rings for the 2 in 1 Chain are 18swg 3/8" bronze, AR of 8.35. All rings saw cut from TRL. Using 18swg 1/4" rings in place of the 16swg 1/4" black AA will likely make for a more flexible version. Used three different colors in the sample to help see what's going on in there... ;-) Weave(s) Used (Click to View Weave)2 in 1 Chain, DragonscaleImages Tags (Click to Search Gallery)Tag(s): Anodized Aluminium, Bright Aluminium, Bronze, Materials, SampleWeave(s): 2 in 1 Chain, Dragonscale |
