Description

Viper's Nest is basically sheeted Orbital Vipera Berus. This is achieved by interweaving two or more Orbital Vipera Berus chains by their orbital rings, in European 6 in 1 style - or adding Vipera Berus to a basis European 6 in 1 basis chain/sheet.

The sample image shows a sheet on top left, with a European 6 in 1 strip, and a segment of Orbital Vipera Berus attached for reference. The bottom sample shows a three-row wide band, like e.g. used for a bracelet. The latter shows an alternating Vipera Berus pattern, while the rectangular sheet shows the interwoven chains in a synchronous pattern.

The samples are woven from 18swg (~1.2mm) bright aluminium, coiled on 3/16" and 9/32" mandrels, giving an AR pairing of around 4.2 / 6.4 - so e.g. 16swg (1.6mm) 1/4" and 3/8" will work as well.
