DescriptionTo my amazement, when making a first attempt at a Celtic Filigree Unit I saw the beginnings of a wire basket 8 prong setting (only with rings instead of being straight). By adding rings to make a solid seat and to capture the gemstone this appears to have worked quite well combined with the Byzantine Bar Bracelet for daily wear testing. So far, the gem has not moved. Please forgive me, but I don’t yet have the proper calipers, mandrels, use worn out flush cutters to cut the rings, and whatever else I can find here in S. America that work as mandrels making it impossible for me to provide the exact ID’s.
