DescriptionMy forty-eighth chainmail basket. It is a two-tiered design of 96 rings-per-row European 8 in 1 sections, the bottom of which is constructed of rings of .062" (1.6mm) wire; the top containing .078" (2.0mm).Specifically, the rings in the bottom section were wound on an 11/32" (8.73mm) mandrel, and have an AR of 6.1, and those in the top section alternate row-by-row between 13/32" (10.3mm) and 27/64" (10.7mm), and have an approximate effective AR of 5.9. Spiral 4 in 1 at an AR of 4.2, Jens Pind Linkage at an AR of 2.9, and four-ring brass Mobius Balls at an AR of 7.1 were used to decorate the trim. 2252 rings of 27 different types comprise this 555 gram (1.2lb), 7" (17.8cm) diameter, 3" (7.6cm) tall structure.
