DescriptionA closeup showing the detail of the dormers of my second chainmail house: Houses of the Holey.Japanese 12 in 2 is used in the roof structure and the dormers using the same ring sizes for each: .062" (16 SWG / 1.6mm) aluminum wire, rings sized 19/128" (3.77mm), and 19/64" (7.54mm) (AR of 2.6 and AR of 5.3). .025" (22AWG / .635mm) 9/64" (3.57mm) rings were used between the roof and dormers, six on each side. Small wire was needed to fit through the small J12-2 rings on the roof section. Unfortunately they have a relatively large AR to be used structurally (AR of 6.8, post-springback), however, now that the the dormers are complete and in place, strength shouldn't be an issue with these rings.
