Description

Mercury allows some modifications and variants, that might be interesting for a jewellery maker. Here I show some of these.
From top to bottom:

single rings only; AR of 3.9
4in2 (kinged 2in1) chain as basis, but single-ring cells; AR of 4.7 (but a bit less, maybe 4.5 should be optimal here)
All kinged, base chain as well as cages; AR of 6.1
two further variants, that were made with an AR of 5.7

I may note, that all 2in1 based variants twist easily, and so can look a bit disorderly when worn, so 4in2 based chains are preferrable. Only the low-AR limit example behaves faily 'civilized' among the 2in1 based ones. And it's really an orbital weave, as if only one of the four (or a pair in case of the kinged) box/byz cell rings is removed, the other three (pairs) fall away as chain segment from the surrounded chain.
