DescriptionThis was my reward to myself at the end of tourist season (spring/summer), after not letting myself become absorbed in maille and keeping totally focused on the non-maille jewelry tasks at hand.I call this the "Open Road Bracelet," referring not only to finally having no more road blocks between me and my mailling, but it's also a play on the title of the weave: If you look closely, you will see that this is a 3-ring-wide vertical strip of Gridlock, with two simple 2in1 rows down the edges to keep the larger outer rings from wandering out of place. And one long strip of gridlock seems to me a lot less like 'gridlock' than it does an simple path or an open road. If you're thinking that those look like some might heavy rings, you're right. Stats: 2.0mm Argentium 6.5mm rings x 71 1.6mm Argentium 5.0mm rings x 32 1.2mm Argentium 3.0mm ring x 1 10mm OD SS Spring Ring Length 7.75in/19.69cm. Although I've not set it on a scale, based on the amount of wire I used to make this bracelet, I am estimating that it weighs somewhere in the vicinity of 2.75 to 3.00 ozt.
