DescriptionI made this for the dreamcatcher theme contest. I wanted to make something that would capture the spirit of maille along with any dreams that may come its way. After giving the matter a lot of thought, I decided that I could best do this with an inlay. I’m not sure my idea was a good one, but it’s too late to do anything about it now. The inlay is in E4-1, the chains connecting the pieces are spiral 4-1, and the chain holding the whole thing up is box chain. I used 20 gauge wire with 1/8" inner diameter rings. The red and black rings are enameled copper, the yellow rings are brass, and the gray rings are galvanized steel. The large ring is 7" diameter, and the two small ones are 3". The maille is attached to the larger rings with yarn.Weave(s) Used (Click to View Weave)Box Chain 4 in 1, European 4 in 1, Spiral 4 in 1Images Tags (Click to Search Gallery)Tag(s): Accessories, Brass, Dreamcatcher, Enameled Copper, Galvanized Steel, Inlay, Theme Contest, Wall HangingWeave(s): Box Chain 4 in 1, European 4 in 1, Spiral 4 in 1 |
