DescriptionThis is my version of Stephens power winder. I had thought about how difficult it would be to drill holes in just the right spot, not to mention the fact that the holes would have to be in different places depending on what gauge wire was being used. I solve this problem by putting four carriage bolts on it. Now I can adjust the height of the steel plate/board depending on twhat gauge I am using. This also allowed me to be a little more sloppy when drilling my holes. I did discover something, however. The wire must be winding in between where the bolts meet the board. Otherwise, the wire will tilt the board and double over on itself. I had to drill another guide hole, hence there are two. So far this has worked great, allowing me to make 2.5 foot coils.Weave(s) Used (Click to View Weave)NoneImages Tags (Click to Search Gallery)Tag(s): Coiling, Drill, Powerwind, Setup, Tools |
