Wow, what a neat idea! Thanks for sharing it.
There is no such thing as weave ownership. If someone produces a weave sample, they own that physical piece of mail, but not rights to the weave pattern itself.

I'd been searching for homemade vibratory tumblers. Ran across a reference to using a sander as the vibrator. Nice to see somebody document it.

My pleasure,
I'm getting a real kick out of doing these articles, admittedly I'm at best
only half a step ahead of those who are using the articles, but it's a way
of giving back
Hopefully I'll be able to come up with a few more.

Keep them coming!
It's one thing to write an article, but to fill it with useful step-by-step illustrations just makes it all the more better. We greatly appreciate your efforts.

Thanks
My next major project might be a ring cutter ... I need to do saw cut stainless steel ... so I'll take some photos as I go, it looks pretty complex though so it will probably be a while.

That would be a great article for me... I'm always looking for better ways to cut rings. I'm getting sick of using these memory wire shears... |

One of my poor man's tumblers is a tupperware box with rice that I shake during my half hour drive to work. Actually works pretty good. Gotta switch hands so you don't get one big bicep and one small one.
The other is the same tupperware box, wrapped in a few towels and stuffed in a pillowcase. Put that in the dryer and run on delicate setting. |

before we had a vibratory bowl, we would use a paint mixer....
though if you have a paint mixer then i guess it would be pointless to do the mac guyver setup there....
let me know if you need something finished, i got ceramic media and the bowl to use it.
peace,
jdog

Good to see you're still around. Mad scientists are in full swing on both forums these days. |
