I have a request: an article about Glove making. Coif Smiley
My first try became just a mess of rings, and i still haven't figured out the thumb-seams Razz

Sure, that'd be great, Ukko! We can put it either in a separate section, or under Misc and create a "Other Wire Techniques" subcategory...

Display would be great! Especially if you could tell us where to get display supplies...

Display cases (the big free-standing kind)
Display boxes (velvet-lined wooden lockable ones with a glass viewing window)
Fancy colored gift bags
Gift boxes
Necklace/Ring/Bracelet/etc packaging boxes
Mailers (the kind you stuff things in, then have UPS come pick up)
Photography tips
Website design tips (it's display too -- in a way)

The possibilities are endless. Smile

I'll revamp this request thread in a little bit, but I wanted to point out a good tactic for article writing --

Keep an eye out for questions that come up a lot. You can do some research, put together the appropriate information, and create an article out of it. That way, when the question pops up again, you can simply redirect people to your article!

As an example, I've done the common question of defacing currency (also b/c I've just posted the penny-coloring article). If questions do come up that often about a certain topic, and we don't have an article on it, then it's probably a prime target for an article!

hmm... Perhaps it's time we made an FAQ article? perhaps a community written article?

We'll get all of the FAQ in one thread (get people to post the question they hear the most) get answers, compile and have MAIL community as the author?

We've needed a FAQ for a long time...

Check out the "construction" section of the articles. There's a number of articles on the various steps of ring-making. If you have something new or different to add, then please go right ahead!

As for the jewelry book, it depends on the topics that you'll be writing, but the jewelry section could work. If it's specifically about wire, then another section might do. If in doubt, I'll place it in an appropriate category when I see it. Very Happy
