I’m in.

There is no such thing as weave ownership. If someone produces a weave sample, they own that physical piece of mail, but not rights to the weave pattern itself.

This is a 48-ring containing piece of "Orbital Japanese 8 in 2 (O1)" sheet weave, which is simply Japanese 8 in 2 with one orbital ring per connection point.

As a pendant, hung from a piece of HP3-1:

As a sample of the weave:

Rings used: .048” stainless steel wire, mandrels of 21/64”, and 33/128”. AR of 7.9, and AR of 6.0. This is the weave’s approximate 2 ring size minimum AR combination, which might be possibly further reduced with a 3rd ring size.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a pendant since this type of orbital rings undergo a fair amount of stress and tension. Even in .048" stainless, the orbitals gap slightly from tension. But it sure looks nice!

Not sure what to call it....the large ring is 12 swg 1.5 inch BA ring with mostly 16swg 5/16" and a few 16swg 1/4", also a few other odd sizes. All but the largest ring came from TRL.

Here's my humble offering, a turbine pendant, made with small brushed aluminium scales.

It looks bigger than it is -- the large ring is 38mm wide.

Craft isn't cheaper than therapy, but it's more fun.
