Theme Suggestion

Games: Be it boardgames, lawn darts, ring toss (the irony), bolos, etc... Some form of game made out of maille.

I'll second Macromaille but one question. When does it qualify as Macro? Beyond standard wire gauges or some other marker?

macro maille was seconded, as for when it counts as macromaille that's up to the voters you could submit a piece in 22g and it would still be a valid entry as long as the picture file isn't measured in macrobytes.

Yep, macro has already been seconded, so it will be on the voting list. As for the definition... I'm not touching that with a ten-foot pole. Macro is whatever someone says it is. I guarantee if macro maille is voted in as the theme, you will be able to find something to vote for. Very Happy

You're right! So what if it was a Max of 4 rings through 1?

That seems overly complicated. Just say "4-in-1 weaves" and leave it open to interpretation, as usual.

So.

Theme: 4-in-1 weaves

Oh wait... I see this now. I'm going to go with "4 in 1 weaves". If there are objections, please let me know in PM?

My original idea was that only euro 4-1 and jap 4-1 were allowed, but I like the sound of this more!

Levi suggested "Games."

I like that generic theme. It will leave the contest open to more idea's.

So I second "Games"

Theme suggestions: Flat Rings

How flat?
As in more width (od-id) then thickness of the ring, i.e. rectangular wire.
Or hammered flat rings? Or squashed weaves?

Theme: Graduation

Theme: Seasons

Theme: Bands

All of these have more than one interpretation, which is all to the good.
