So I've been making a necklace, and I'm not sure what weave to use to connect the chain portion to the centre piece....Rolling Eyes I'm thinking of something sorta lacey/loopy. I wanted to search the weaves, but there's no criteria for those things Laughing and it's kinda time consuming on dial-up...

Anyone got a weave suggestion that might work?

Ok so now this appears to not be working argh... ANYWAY I tried to open a Flcikr account to add a bigger photo too...

I will try and make the picture bigger. I didn't realize it came out small.

why not connect it with a byzantine segment to keep with the theme. or then again 4 Winds sorta fits your criteria in my mind.

A small Romanov connection like the pendant would look nice too.

well since the pendant is romanov and 1/2 romanov connections, why not byzantine, box or persian?
check out cgmaille.com for some tutorials/pictures.
Personally I think a captive inverted roundmaille might be a cool necklace portion, but you already have most of a necklace done.

Or, if you have the right size rings, you could try something like this.

or a variation of helm

there's all sorts of things you can try... Just depends on what you like! Smile
Good luck!

Is it just me or is the image completely invisible?

You could try almost any kind. I personally like the viperscale and all of its variations. You could try to make something like that!

Now that I can see the picture... though it's probably too late for suggestions anyway...

I agree that Byzantine would fit the theme. If you want a more lacy/loopy weave, here's a few Byzantine variants that might suit:

Ash's Byzantine
Atlantis Weave
Bastardized Byzantine Bias
Byzantine Ringmaille Zig-Zag

Other non-Byzantine weaves that could be nice for this:

Celtic Visions
Helm Chain
Lorenz's Forget-Me-Not

Craft isn't cheaper than therapy, but it's more fun.

I fixed the picture issue Rhiannon. I chose the medium size that was under 800px per side, right clicked on it, chose Properties from the pull down menu and copied the picture's URL. Then I entered that into your post and put the img tags around it. Hope that makes sense. Smile

Thank you for fixing it Lorraine! I tried a few times and got frustrated and gave up :p I needed a tech break.

Thank you all for the suggestions!

I had tried something, just a simply RSD style part, but I'm not happy with it. I was thinking of doing a piece of Apollo, but I don't have the right ring sizes in copper, the are a little too tight of an AR.

So I am thinking of trying a piece of either the Bastardized Byzantine Bias, or the Atlantis weave. They are the kind of Loopyness I am looking for.

traceyalex, if you type in weave=weavename and put it in brackets [ ], it will make a link to the weave. You just have to make sure to spell the weave right. Smile
So when I type weave=Deimos and put it in brackets, it looks like this:
Deimos
