I might be in. Contemplating some ideas.

Insistence is futile.

We are the Quartz, lower your shovels and surrender your rocks. We will add your gemological and mineralogical distinctiveness to our own. You will adapt to service us. Resistance is rutile.

I doubted this theme at first. Clearly, I was very mistaken.

I know exactly what I want to do, but I won't have time for it until next week. It's killing me Evil or Very Mad

I think there are going to be two types of entries: the ones that are useable/wearable, and the ones that are purely for fun.
At least, I certainly intend to make something useable/wearable as my second entry. I haf been kondukting experimentz... Very Happy

ya i'm working on a pendant for a necklace right now,,I want to do a hemp cord necklace for it and wondering if I mimic a chain weave with string rather then rings does that still count?

from what i understand 1/3 doesnt have to be maille, so you could just use the cord on its own

Well, if you make a chain weave with links made of string, rather than mimicking one, that would surely count.
I'm uncertain of what you mean by "mimic a chain weave with string", really.

well ya it would get kinda vague,,at first i was thinking about trying an hp 4-1 thing with the leaning links being a flat coil,,in the end I just went with the basic knot cord spiral, which is kinda half way between spiral chain and 1-1-1 as I see it. so long story short I don't think what I am doing in the end counts.

how about cutting the cord into lengths and then tieing them onto each other in loops to make a 1-1-1 or 2-1-2-1 chain

but why would i cut string into pieces just to tie it back together? I know that's what chain maille is but it doesnt make sense to me with other stuff. anyway i'm done with the idea,,I really shouldnt have gone down the "what counts?" road.
