Whatever the decided theme, I realized I needed to hammer out a new shield, as we'd run out...

Double digits didn't fit on as cleanly as I would've liked... It seems I'll have to redo them again shortly... Change the font or some such... But in the meanwhile...

Could you just expand them horizontally and use the same font? or would that not look good.

I'll second light and dark if it's not included in the good and evil. Smile

Also, didn't we already do animals a couple of contests ago?

Since I'm a nerd....how about Star Trek.....or "geekery" (an etsy.com term for anything geeky)

I second geekery with an emphasis on sci-fi.

Yes, I believe that was Theme Contest 8... Though I'm not convinced that we have any rules against using the same theme again...

We've never had animals as the theme, but we had animal armo(u)r as theme contest #5.

your name makes me think that you may be the herald of the apocalypse.
very nice.

oh, and i only threw micals name in there because he had said during the fantasy theme contest that his fantasy was for baskets to be the theme.

Correction: Baskets of -only- one ring size: Whatever you have on hand.

I'd still like to see that. I think it'd be a fair challenge for both novice and master.

I want to do some new work that incorporates maille jewelry with beads. Is this something anyone else would be interested in?

I'd be up for maille with beads or scales! I've been meaning to try out my hand with both.

We decided a few contests back that there can't be any specific supply requirements. The idea is that anyone could make it using things they already have, or could make from wire. As beads or scales would cause someone to have to buy, or make supplies specifically for the contest, that's out.

There was even some grumbling about Micromaille being acceptable, 'cause technically someone might not have, or have access to smaller wire.
