...well -- I had a slip and jab when the end of a link I was trying to close got loose from one of my pliers and got raked across my thumb nice and deep along the medial margin of my thumbnail with the bolt-cutter-cut pointy link end under the power of the other pair of pliers, while armoring in a friend's garage. I "may be a mailler if" I didn't bother going to look for a bandaid in the house, just covered the injury with kleenex and wrapped the throbbing digit in the garage's roll of ductape and kept right on making mail.

That shirt is very nearly finished now; I have but to complete the treatment of the undulating hem I'm making: rows hung from round-ended dags.

i was winding some 12 gauge galvy with a variable speed drill and got a tangle that wrapped around my finger. fractured a bone. another time, i was useing a hacksaw to cut a coil, and i was holding it in a vice. my finger was in the way of the hack saw and i cut half of my finger nail off.
