i was just wondering if anyone thought of this before or if the idea was "mine"

i was messing around with E4-1 and was alway wondering how to make a sleeve for a shirt. and i was wrapping a single chain around my arm jsut thinking... and i realized that if positioned correctly, they chain can be connected to make a solid piece.

anyone ever tried this?

i will try to post pics if anyone would like to see this.

That's how most people make spiral roundmaille. It's also how most industrial maille machines work. They were invented in 1909. It's probably been around even longer than that.
