Error message and double posting

I added a reply to the "You might be a Mailler if..." thread, and got an error message that no posts existed for that topic. So I clicked the back buttom, made sure the reply had text in it and clicked the post button. This time I got the correct message that my message had posted. However it turns out my message had posted the first time and the second time - so I ended up double posting.

the reason for this is that when you have the last post on a page, it tries to advance you to the next page (which doesn't exist). the post is on the previous page.

This is a known bug in the bulletin board software, that only happens on very large threads. There's no known fix, other than to start a new thread, but it's more of an annoyance than a problem, so we've never really seen a reason to kill perfectly good threads...
