this was a result of our removal of the adult gallery/article and discussion forums by democratic vote.

after the adult content was removed we were stuck with the problem that we had to draw a line somewhere, or it was just too fuzzy.. what is allowed and what is not. and so we introduced a content policy, which is what you read about in the news announcements.

we've also passed a charter which defines how we go about making big changes, which we intoduced by the guidelines in the charter.. (through democratic vote).

i say we, but blaise did all the hard work. Smile

there is a thread in the admin forum started by woody which contains links to the relevant threads, if you want to know exactly what went on.

welcome back

kim

Is that what it was? I thought it was the vitriol that resulted over the Wal-Mart / Chainmail Board fiasco. Just an assumption on my part...

We almost all knew it was a hoax, and we were posting there that it was.

Only problem... TCB mods kept deleting any post that hinted that it was a hoax. Bah. Razz

it's cool man.. it's over..

but on reading the thread woody had a good idea.

we should do whatever we can to improve MAIL. regardless of what charles is doing over at tcb, we should always strive for the best (betterest) maille site on the net, with the most information and the most helpful members..

what would -you- do to make MAIL better?
