Oy! A crisis! Only my third project. Want to step up a little bit, but not frustrating. So Slight variant on my plain 4:1 European.

l'm on Ringlord ordering rings now. (First project was Home Depot scratch, not doing that again (plus tendonitis now)

(project: same size bracer main black stainless 14ga
5/16". Snakeweave with yellow anodized aluminum)
Was suggested 16ga 1/4"
I really want to go smaller so it's more blackened
stainless with thinner lines of yellow.
1/4 is one below main 5/16.
Next down is 7/32"
One more is 3/16" - what I'm looking at.
At 16ga 3/16" do you think I CAN weave into 14ga
5/16"?

If I’m understanding you right, you want to know if Snake Skin can be made with alternating rows of 14SWG 5/16”, and 16SWG 3/16” TRL rings. If so, I would suggest no. It should be possible to put 4 of the larger rings onto one of the smaller, however, you likely won’t end up with enough clearance to continue the sheet. It’s dependant on exact sizes, but I suspect no based on a quick bit put together with .062” AR of 3.3, and .080” AR of 4.3, which are close to what you’re considering.

There is no such thing as weave ownership. If someone produces a weave sample, they own that physical piece of mail, but not rights to the weave pattern itself.
