indeed they do all look nice, altought as MaxumX mentioned, in particular in the last photo(locked noldorin spiral) the clevis is a little heavy for my taste.
Love the aura balls, gonna hafta try this one!

Well it's always a 'tightrope walk' when clasps are used - some people prefer to use (or if in need for even make) clasps that blend as good as possible in the weave, others prefer to make clasps a focal point, others prefer to avoid clasps at all if possible.

In this case I share onering's opinion that this clevis used as clasp is more than a little bit too much, and imho unharmonic. But we, as maillers have an advantage - what doesn't fit can always be made to fit...

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

I like em, although you could argue the last one, 20awg is too light.....I'd go with heavier weaves.

Sooo, Legba, I know you and copper, what did a search for copper clevis hooks turn up.....?

I just tested making one myself, from 3.5mm (~7AWG) Copper wire; and that worked out better as I thought - Using wire, pliers, hammer, file, M3 threading dies - and the 1st attempt was finished in less than 10 minutes. And there is the possibility to make differently shaped ones, to be fit to and used for e.g. wider or narrower chains...

Never seen copper ones but they used to be made in bronze years ago.

I'm thinking of putting a magnetic clasp on the Locked Noldorin chain but I like the shackles on the heavier bracelets.

No that's why I'm thinking of changing the clasp on the 0.8mm chain, the other chains are the heavy ones.

so here's a question. there's been mention of copper clevis hooks. how expensive would it be to have someone cast them?? if you were going to order enough of them, surely you could get it done...no??

I told I had made a 'quick'n'dirty' clevis clasp, on the 1st. attempt, myself. Here are the photos. It's really easy if you have material and tools at hand. I must admit, that it needed some additional minutes of filing to remove the worst tool marks...
