Definately helpful, I've learned most of the weaves from pictures of them befor i found a good tutorial. it can make it extremly hard if the pic is bad or you cant see the weave from a different angal to pick out more of it's detail

I agree with sekk.. i have seen some pretty bad pics (out of focus, blurry, and contrasting backgrounds).. i got into chainmail to make props for my photography.. i mainly shoot models for portfolio development but i have done some reproduction work and product shots.. if you would like your mail patterns or works of art photographed then i would like to lend my services.. for shipping and a small fee i will photograph and send you either prints or a digital scan of the negatives which ever you prefer.. if you would like to know more about this please feel free in contacting me about it..

it would be great would you mention about several different ways to capture maille including scanners work great.
