I started with
"this is not flat":
- 16ga carbon steel 3/8 ID
- 18ga galvy 5/32 ID
stitched up the 2-1 chain inside "this is not flat" with:
- 16ga carbon steel 5/32 ID
then, alternating sides, stitched up the 18ga rings with more
- 18ga galvy 5/32 ID
which creates an alternating gap on either side. this is a new weave on its own, but continuing... through the gap, weave:
- 14ga galvy 1/2 ID
- 16ga carbon steel 1/2 ID
then throught the next two gaps, do the same making sure to pass through the gap AND the preceding group of large rings. on the end of the third one, stitch the:
- 16ga carbon steel 5/32 ID
- 16ga carbon steel 1/2 ID
together with:
- 18ga galvy 3/8 ID
then close all three rings:
- 16ga carbon steel 1/2 ID
- 18ga galvy 3/8 ID
- 14ga galvy 1/2 ID
together with:
- 16ga carbon steel 5/32 ID
do the next set of three, then on the last one instead of following the same stitch procedure... alternate with this one:
- 14ga galvy 1/2 ID
- 16ga carbon steel 5/32 ID
- 16ga carbon steel 1/2 ID
together with two:
- 18ga galvy 3/8 ID
then close rings:
- 18ga galvy 3/8 ID
- 14ga galvy 1/2 ID
together with:
- 16ga carbon steel 5/32 ID
splitting the two large rings.

there, I think thats all of it, I hope that'll help. Granted that this is one of the most complex weaves I've made to date, I think I did an OK job at describing it Coif Cool Smiley

I wrote that years ago an anther thread, it did take me a while to figure out what I did to make the weave, but back then it didn't take too long Very Happy

there is a wrong direction in the list of "how-to"s I'll update when I find the right mandrels, metals, and tools. Smile

its been years since I've built this weave and lost all the tools and wires associated... when I successfully finish a piece of this weave I'll post pictures of it and a full tutorial...

including a picture group of every ring, how they connect, exact sizes, and the final product...

believe it or not, I'm as interested in reproducing this as you are

I'll keep this this up to date Very Happy
