mine tend to chip on the cutting surface, so they knaw at the ring instead of cutting it, i have one pair for heavier gauge stuff and one pair for finer, aka jewelry stuff

cutting for me, my shears are never good enough to thru what i want, i use wiss 5's and when trying to cut 14 ga galvy steel wire, it bites. i really love the weaving part tho
