Maybe you could take some rings from the bottom row of the shirt to make the repairs. Then add the new rings on the bottom as a trim accent.

That works! You'd have plenty of spares for future rep ...

Also stainless steel, but I would imagine that most folks who buy primarily steel and other armor-grade metals don't need saw cut.

I think your best value-add would be in cutting the more valuable ...

The real question is, do the pulleys come in sterling? In general, I like the use of non-standard items in maille. This is one of the more unusual ones.
