what the heck? you want to get 8g platinum wire? Since Platinum is a precious metal more valuable than gold, you'll not likely to find it in guages thicker than 18-20g, and it is very VERY expensive. ...

I remember using an oxy-acetalene torch back when I was in high school.

Personally I wouldn't use a torch to cut rings unless they were a cm thick or more.

very pretty. Have you considered turning the connecting rings (between the units) into a helm chain type connection? Like add a larger rings around the two smaller connecting rings?

I don't know if you have these in the US, but there are a brand of sticky Strips and hangers that go under the brand of "Command".
They Stick to walls and such easily without the hassle of ...

when I had a similar sticking problem with a FP chain, I found that my closures weren't the best in those area's. That might be your problem?

you'll notice the maille doesn't cover most of the trunk, which is how they grip the coconut.

some shopping arcades/malls have message boards where you can put up fliers. You could ask the general public to save their pop-tabs. or at your workplace?
