tab mail in amtgard is kinda a waste of time and effort as it takes a few penalties just for being made of pop tabs

i'm just using some rubbermaid aviation snips i got at wal mart for ten dollars and they are working just fine for me. they go through 16 guage like butter.

Plain old mild steel tie wire is what i'm using for the rest of the shirt, so i think i might blacken some galvy for the inlay. If i do so will it stay gray?
