Beads are the other option if you don't mind the hole. There is a wide size range available in beads to, which is nice. (http://www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/H203865CL for example)

What about the black ice AA TRL sells? I've never actually gotten any myself and they do say it may have purple tones in some lighting, but the pictures make it look similar to stainless, so use that ...
