Yeah it is a plastic ring that they glue together once they weave it.

I am not sure if it is the same company, but I believe they used sections of a garden hose that they then glued together.

Oooo with the liver of sulfur patina and then the buffing there will be black down in the tighter parts of the weave. That will look really good. Be sure to post pics.
