Lachesis is very closely related to Sistrurus and Atheris. Sistrurus is a 2-2-2-2-2 ring pattern and Atheris is a 3-2-3-2-3 ring pattern. Lachesis, like Atheris, is also a 3-2-3-2-3 ring pattern. However, it is the result you get when you try to make Atheris and forget just where that last ring in the 3 ring row and end up putting it in the wrong spot. So, instead of creating Atheris, with is a nice flat weave, you get Lachesis, which has a similar pattern to Atheris yet retains (and actually seems to make worse) the spiraling of Sistrurus. I used 20ga 4.5mm ID rings (I think).
