Submitting an Image to M.A.I.L.

This is a fairly simple process...

Guidelines:

  • Any pictures to be added to the gallery should be named uniquely. Your initials at the beginning of the filename is a good idea.  Please don't use any spaces or weird characters in the file names.
  • Any sort of image is welcome, as long as it deals with some aspect of chainmaille.
  • JPG or GIF formats only, please.  If your image isn't one of those formats, then might we suggest a free image editor/converter?  Here's a good one.
  • Individual images need be less than 100K.
  • Please do not submit a picture which is too out-of-focus for a viewer to determine what they are looking at.
  • In the description of your submission, please follow the M.A.I.L. content policy.
  • Where possible/applicable, please include the weaves, materials, wire diameters, and ring diameters for any maille work you submit.
Now, the legal stuff.  In order to protect M.A.I.L. from copyright issues, and in order to protect the photographer from the blatant theft of his work, M.A.I.L. has a simple agreement between the organization and the artist:

I hereby grant Maille Artisans International League rights of publication of my work on the M.A.I.L. site. In cases of re-publication, the aforementioned M.A.I.L. must recieve my prior permission and in said re-publication provide me with credit for my work.

I further understand that as the owner of such material it is my right to have it removed from the MAIL site for any reason.

Check if you agree with the above terms.

There, that was relatively painless.

NOTE: If you just submitted an item, have returned to this screen via the 'Back' button on your browser (rather than letting your browser return on its own), and wish to submit another item, please refresh the page first, or your next submission will overwrite your last one!
