Hi, I am new to this community and also to mailling (hmm can i call it that lol Coif LoL ).

I have searched the site but I have not been able to find any metric measurments, for wire and ring sizes. Confused It would help me alot if there was a conversion table.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure this is the right place either but this is useful for wire sizes and conversions.

id recomend getting a caliper (dial, digital, or verner) that way you can give the acctual sizes rather then the gauge or mandrel size. make figureing out AR's unerrable.

if you need to do any convertion from Standard to Metic all yo uneed to is multiply the standard by 25.4 and it will give you the Millimeters.

Example Wire: .036 (~16 SWG) x 25.4 = .9144mm

Example Ring: 1/4 or .25 x 25.4 = 6.35mm

most people will round them off for ease but i prefer the exact number to at least thousondths. (or 3 decimal places for thouse that forgot thier math classes..hehe or cant read my horrid spelling..Smile)

Thanks alot.

Here in Germany, I am finding it hard to find suppliers anyway, the metric measurements help a bit. And ordering anywhere outside of Europe is too expensive.
