Japanese 12 in 2 Belt
Large rings - 1.2mm Galvy 10mm ID
Small rings - 0.85mm Galvy 3mm ID

Buckle - Hand made for belt (Needs improving)

Belt laid out to show weave and buckle

Belt coiled (and buckled)

Once all the small rings were closed the rest of the belt took most of last Sunday to do. It's a test piece for me to learn weaving Jap 12 in 2 and to see if the weave might be suitable for a corset. I also learned that Jap 12 in 2 uses huge amounts of tiny rings... lovely weave though.

nice! I was thinking about making a belt in the not too distant future. I think I'm going with a basic E4-1 though, I'm not feeling ambitious enough to make it out of something different. If I did I'd probably use Dragonback, it lends it's self well to using a standard jewelry type clasp as the 'buckle' because one side of the weave has a nice bump running down the length of it

Thanks everyone Smile

As a test piece it's turned out great, The lass I might be making the corset for loves the look too, my next project is a Jap 12 in 2 vambrace to look at how the jap 12 in 2 reacts to differing ring sizes, and also to look at lining options...

darksidedsam: they are a little time consuming but well worth it if you're looking at decorative stuff,

Gnomeofdoom: I still need to have a go at dragon-back and dragon-scale, my first attempt didn't turn out well so I put them on the back-burner, I had originally planned to do the corset using dragon-scale, but it looks like it can stretch and collapse in some directions, so I had almost given up until I had the idea of doubling jap 6 in 1 (only to find out others had already thought of it)
