has anyone every sculpted a soccer ball, basketball or football? Confused or know how to find where to do it.

I've seen a soccer ball. Not to scale, of course. Can't remember who it was that made it though.

Here is a soccer ball I made.

It has almost 1,400 rings. BA, AA. 18 ga, 3/16 ID. About 3 inches in diameter. The stuffing is strips of a fleece blanket.

It uses a byzantine web in a typical hexagon/pentagon pattern...and the holes were filled in in a way that worked.

I have done another soccer ball very similar to this except that the vertical connectors in the byzantine web were 18 ga, 1/8" ID. I found that those rings were loose on the first attempt, and making the vertical rings 1/8" got rid of most of the loose rings.

Let me know if any of that didn't make any sense.
