My 2nd piece of Dragonscale. This time I used contrasting colours, 0.8mm violet AA, 4mm ID & 1mm silver plated, 7mm ID.

So does Dragonscale look better with 2 colours or not?

Wow, that's beautiful. Rather than reading your post first my eyes jumped straight to the picture. At first I thought the purple tint was an ambient light in the background. Then I read the stats...very awesome.

I've been doing a lot of abstract painting lately, extremely abstract. No brush, no paint, no canvas. I just think about it.

definitely two colors, and definitely the way you did the colors. It could be done a variety of ways, but having those inner colors makes the weave sort of 'glow' which is lovely.

having not made any dragonscale yet... i still have to say the use of two contrasting colours makes the weave look awesome. ive seen a lot of it in single colour, but the 2 colours are awesome.

I absolutly love the glowing description by Gnomeofdoom, I was just thinking that...

I tried dragonscale in one color a while ago and wasn't happy with how it was turning out, so I put it on the back burner ... I think I'll need to darken some rings and give it another try Smile

Looks fantastic!
